“Light Year”

Weighted Tabata Squat – Perform the Tabata Squats holding a (25/15) pound against your chest.

10 Rounds for time of:
135/95 lb Deadlift, 15 reps
15 Push-ups(Hand Release)

Light travels 3 * 10^8 meters per second. 1 light year = distance it takes light to travel 1 year. There are 31,536,000 seconds in 1 year. 30,0000,000 meters * 31,535,000 seconds = 9,460,800,000,000,000 meters.

Just saying……

“An international team of astronomers, led by Yale University and the University of California scientists, pushed back the cosmic frontier of galaxy exploration to a time when the universe was only 5 percent of its present age of 13.8 billion years. The team discovered an exceptionally luminous galaxy more than 13 billion years in the past and determined its exact distance from Earth using the combined data from NASA’s Hubble and Spitzer space telescopes, and the Keck I 10-meter telescope at the W. M. Keck Observatory in Hawaii. These observations confirmed it to be the most distant galaxy currently measured, setting a new record. The galaxy existed so long ago, it appears to be only about 100 million years old.”Screen Shot 2015-05-18 at 4.32.26 PM
